How about six-or seven spoke wheels? Although I almost bought 5-spokes myself, I think they're just too common, and ended up with OZ Superleggeras. FlyNavy30's SSRs (previous page) are sweet, as are Eric88's Breyton Visions (here) http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-g...therlands.html
If I could have found them at the right price, I'd have the Visions myself.
Wow...
56 pages of wheel ****.
New here so I had to look at every page..Thank you all for posting these beautiful pictures of your cars and wheels. This is much appreciated and will help with my new wheel decision.

okay, I have heard of detailing a car, but detailing the vanes on brake rotors??? How long, or how many days, do you spend when you're detailing the car? Can you say OCD? J/k that setup looks immaculate, very nice!!

At 80,000 miles my car is hardly a garage queen. I'm 65 years old... I do my four corners, ( wheel wells, wheels, and rotors ) once a year. it takes about 8 hours to do all four, I usually do this over a two day week end... funny thing is it gets easier and easier... If I get caught in the rain, it takes me about an hour to wipe it down.. the rotors only require a blast of air 110 psi.. I wipe the wheels down before I put the car away.. that takes about ten minutes.. as far as the paint goes... its a no pressure wash with the hose, and a blow dry... takes about 15 minutes. I did not Zaino the car one time last year, I have yet to do it this year but I will... about five years ago I use to Zaino and clay once a week... I'M reaping the benefits of that today... Ive yet to see another C5 with as much shine as my car. In fact, the overwhelming comment from all types of people is " SHINY" the real secret to having a nice looking car is having the four corners look better than new... The rotors are naturally polished by the soft pads of the OEM compound. I had been showing pictures on my car that were a few years old, that were just as nice... But many people show their cars when they were new. I told a few people that I would go out and take a few pictures the other day, and this is what my car looks like all the time...believe me I do not slave over this car.. I have alot of tricks to keep the corners clean.. Thank you for offering such positive statements.. Those who know me have seen photos from many different times in that almost ten years on this forum and the photos are far from original shots taken when new. If I go to a dealership and park next to a brand new C6 my car looks better... all I see with the new cars are dull or uncleaned wheel wells, rusty rotors, and non polished wheels and dull looking tires. I see guys here posting photos of their new wheels, and I see rusty rotors and dirty wheel wells in the same photos.. I guess that makes me ****, when a car with 80,000 miles on it and is 11 years old is constantly taken for a brand new car, asked Did you just get it,, is that a 2010? obviously these people do not **** much about a Corvette, all they see is New and clean.. which makes me smile... Some dont even know what kind of car it is. Its a fun thing to have thrown at you on a daily basis...
I had a C6 guy email me the other day.. he had done a search of the whole forum looking for tips on detailing and Keeping CCW 505's looking new... I asked him how he found me and said he read a post where I said I was **** retentive, and then he searched for some photos... he introduced himself by saying that because he read that I was so ****, that I was just the guy he was looking for. LOL all this stuff is very very flattering.

Yeah, my wife says I have issues... she may be right. But now I can introduce her to Evil Twin and suddenly I don't think she'll think I'm so bad anymore. Of course, I can always aspire to be like Evil Twin, but I'll don't ever think I'll get there as much as I try. My dilemna is the fact that I have two cars to maintain, as well as hers. I've had to promise that I will get re-invested in the house this summer in order to keep the peace, I think it's going to be a rough summer......
I have five spokers on couple other cars too, as they are the easiest/fastest to clean, and show off your brakes.
