About how long would it take to install the dynatech header/exhaust system with a nice lift. I wanted to give some feedback to the local mechanic. He is a real nice guy, but naturally he avoids PITA jobs. I read in the past it is a real nice kit, and straight forward to install. Thanks.
I just swapped my SLP LTs out for DYNATECH and it only took a few hours, they were really easy to install. You do have to disconnect the starter, but that is only two bolts and slide it foward. I was able to get them both through the top, just loosened an engine mount and wedged the block a bit and it slide in.
Seriously, these headers were not hard to install at all and I did it all on jack stands with simple tools.
Geez 3 hours?
I put on dynatech system (headers,cats,x-pipe) on tuesday, took me about 6-7 hrs, with a lift.
Alternator, starter and the pass. side coil rail thingy all had to come out.
My driver side went in from the bottom and pass. side in from the top.
Mind you I was in no hurry and first time i did any work on the vette so I was cautious.
Oh and the pass side AIR tube, one bolt hole had to be drilled out a bit cause the holes werent quite even.

I live in central PA - Penn State Univ. The trip to Avon is 322 miles, a little to much for me. I wish I could get in on your Dynatech deal!
I know my 2001 has plenty of potential, but completely stock with 2.73's is is kinda sluggish for a Vette. Hopefully a Honker, LT exhaust, 3.15's, 2800/3200 yank, and a tune will help.

Your idea is 1/2 way there, don't stop now - since you're gonna have things apart, do it right and do it once:
