MTI vs. Hurst vs. Stock....solved
well for me anyway. I hated the stock shifter on my (new to me) 02 with 3600 miles on it. Too vague and mushy. Had a Hurst on my '94 C-4 and loved it. It was perfect. Got the Hurst for the C-5 and it was just not fun to drive for me. Way too stiff and difficult to get into reverse and even into first. Tried all the springs, etc. Just not to my liking. Ordered the MTI 6-shooter and now am very happy. Much better feel than stock and not as notchy as the Hurst. I do think if you race the Hurst would be better but for everyday driving I like the MTI. Only problem was they were backordered about two weeks. Just my opinion of course.
