Default pulling intake .. what would you do.

Ok ill be pulling the intake to install the passenger side AIR line to the header in the very near future.

I REALLY hate to pull the stock intake off of a 98 and put it right back on.
Anyone have some inexpensive options/ideas that could be added or replace it with. i spent 3k in the last couple weeks... no way im telling the boss im spending more... Besides she might decide its better off if shes driving it.

If I am understanding this question right I would put an LS6 intake on. It kind of depends on what other mods you have done to the car. From reading I have gathered that an LS6 intake is good for most projects until you get into the larger blower/turbo/nitrous setups and a FAST is in call.

You'll want an LS6 manifold, new manifold gaskets, and a new TB gasket.

I ditched my AIR completely. Makes for a cleaner engine bay and easier servicing.

If you buy an new LS6 manifold it should come with gaskets.....

Agreed on the AIR deletion unless you're in a visual emissions area.

you could have your tb ported for about 125 dollars and buy a used ls6 manifold for about 350. You dont need to replace gaskets if the old ones are in good shape. Just make sure no dirt gets in your engine when you remove everything...lots of dirt gets stored up in that area.

Yes when you remove the manifold tape over the intake ports... 3m blue painters tape works wonders here.
