Blacking out your third brake light & side markers...
I just thought that I would let anyone that was wondering if it can be done, I did it myself. Since they don't make any "kits" that include the side lights and the third brake light, I went ahead and used the spray window tint on them. I took them off and sprayed them quite a few times (until prefered darkness) and then, when dry, I sprayed them with some car clearcoat I also picked up at the auto parts store. I have had them like this now for about two weeks, and they still look great! I have since washed the car and they have 'faded' at all! I suggest anyone with the blackouts to do this.

"Spray on" window tint.....I've never heard of such a creature. Where do you get this stuff? I would like to do the same thing. Did you spray the outside or inside or both? Post some pics if you can. Thanks!

Did you use the OEM rear side markers? Do you think it would look better I bought the clear markers and then tinted them? I dont want them to have any red hue. I think GM should have never put those awful looking side markers on that car. Ruins the smoothness of the design IMO.

GM didn't do it - Federal Regs did it. The only alternative would be wrap-around taillights, which would look even stranger...
imho, doing anything to the lights that decreases your visibility to the "civilian" population out there yakking on their cell-phones is not a good thing to do. I installed the Euros on our cars to increase visibility. When I hit the brakes or use the turn signals (or both together), I want to be sure what I'm doing is unambiguous to an outside observer.

Yes. You can't even tell they are the OEM ones unless you get up real close and get the sun at them from the right angle (then you can see faint parts of red, although I like them that way). You can use the clear ones if you want, but after buying the WCC clear backup assembly and doing those, I can tell you they won't be as dark. They look good this way IMO.

I hear what you are saying. But in all honesty, they are really visible at night. I really need to take some pics for you guys to show you what I am talking about. I will try to get some pics with my camera and scan them in, since my friend has my digital.
