Lifting C5 lowered on stock bolts with Sears 1.5Ton Low Profile Jack
I've lowered my C5 on stock bolts and I bought the Craftsman 1.5 Ton low profile jack. I've also got the Elite Engineering jacking pads, but if I use the jacking pads on the sides, I don't think even the low profile jack can clear under.
Here is the Craftsman Jack:

Is it okay to lift the car on the sides where the jacking pads would go WITHOUT the jacking pads as long as I don't use the Craftsman jack on any part of the body?
P.S. I'm too lazy to get some wooden 2X10 ramps made up to help the car be elevated high enough.

I'm also lowered - I use C5 Frederick's "little lift" to get the car up high enough to get the jack & puck under the side of the car. It's (I think) a Mercedes jack:

As long as the metal part of the jack doesn't come in contact with the painted part of the rocker panel, you should be OK. If you can find a thin rubber piece to act as a buffer between the jack and the rocker panel, that would be better.

Drifting
I use hockey pucks w/ my low profile jack but mine is low enough where I can't get under the front side either. I don't have ramps.
I have to start with the back of the car first. I put an 18" 2x4 on the jack and locate it under the center of the rear crossmember. Jack the rear up enough to have the tires clear the floor then set it back down.
With the rear "hunched up" from jacking but not rolling the car to settle the rear again, I can now get under the front tie down points. (kinda below the door hinge post) I have to first place the jack plate under the tie down spot then slip the puck from underside of the car onto the jack plate. Kinda got to feel your way to make sure you are at the right spot before you start jacking.
I jack the car up carefully then slip my jack stands (with pucks on top of them) of the under the front crossmember.
I've read here that it's better to use ramps to get the front end up then using a 2x4 on the jack under the crossmember to get it up further. But I'm not fond of the thought of driving up on ramps.

Lowered on stock bolts here. I use the Elite Eng Pucks also. When I jack up my car, I drive it onto a wooden block and then jack it up using the puck. I'll just put the block infront of one of the front wheels, and then ease it onto the block. If you're careful you shouldn't have any issues.

I got a racing jack from the “Godless Communist Red Chinese Store”, my friend's nickname for Harbor Freight, and it clears the rocker panels like a champ plus I paid less than $70 for it. Despite my friend’s satirical nickname, Harbor Freight does carry some really cool stuff at great prices

lowered on stock bolts
I am also lowered on stock bolts and I drive onto two 4x10's on the front and rear wheels. That is plenty high for a low-pro jack with pucks. It really works well.

My Z is lowered on stock bolts and I have no problems jacking on the sides with double hockey jacking pucks. I do have to drive the fromt tires on a small piece of 2x10 to get the clearence. It's no big deal.
I also jack from the cross members.
I personally would not jack my car up from the sides without any type of pucks or wood.

Here's how I have lifted my lowered C5 without pucks.
Jack the rear up on the rear crossmember and set it on ramps.
I have Rocker Rails from A&A so I place the jack pad under the side and jack that side up from there.
Sometimes I place a 2x10" block of wood under the left front tire, let the car down on it and slide the jack under the front crossmember. Then I jack it up and place ramps under the two front wheels and let it down. Other times, I have just lifted the side of the car up and placed the left front wheel on a ramp and lift the front at the crossmember and placed the other ramp on the right front.
Nowadays, I just drive it on the lift.

Safety should always the #1 consideration when lifting any heavy object. Use common sense and think twice before doing anything.

I used that jack today ane the Vette fell to the ground. Had to have a tow truck lift it up. Minor damage to the rocker and no damage to the car. Beware........
