Not for me blackouts look cool on car show cars but having them on a car driving down the hwy you are takeing your life in your own hands and the people following you most states they are against the law to have on the car.

The black outs look cool. I wonder how much it would interfere with your break lights and reverse lights. I also wonder if the local LEOs would hassle you for it.
Thanks for the inputs everyone!!! The blackouts are staying, no questions about that. They compliment the tint and black inserts on the wheels. The wife OK'd the lower fascia painting, so it's just a matter of when.
And for all you saying Nay.....you have no taste!!!!! Just kidding. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I wanted to get a broad mix of opinions on the proposed change. Can't please everyone, but got enough of a mix to make me feel comfortable that I'm NOT going completely against the grain and making a serious styling mistake with the car.
I like both. Like you said, they go with the theme. I just wouldn't do the blackouts simply to avoid getting a ticket, because then they'd get me for the no front plate and illegal tint as well. Looks cool.

I'm kind of in a grey zone when it comes to the blackouts/tint. Car is registered in PA which has VERY loose laws concerning those things in the county where it's registered, but we live in NJ (stationed here) so the car is exempt from all inspections/testing unless we bring it back to PA for 30 consecutive days. If I ever do get a fix-it for the blackouts, I'll pick up a spare set to get past the "fix it" portion and then put them back on.
