Default not sure on part

Ok---I am not sure how to describe this. It is a black screen type piece that i have seen on alot of vettes. it is on the bottom just behind the door and before the back tire. My husband has looked for it and I beleive he knows what it is called but I do not and I was wondering---the only ones he found were stick on---I DO NOT want stick on crap on my car (sorry to those of you that do this--just my personal preferance). Can these be cut and installed and should I?? If so---where would I find them that are not stick on and what the h*** are they called?? My car is a 99 coupe.

thanks
Lori

You are referring to the Z06 rear brake ducts. They can be added to any C5 by procuring the components from one of the CF vendors or directly from GM and cutting into the rocker panels and wheel well panels. Many forum members here have done it or had it done by a tuner or body shop.

I like them. I installed mine myself and it really wasn't too bad once you get past the idea of cutting into a perfectly good car. The results are worth it in my opinion. If you are on the fence about it though, maybe you should put this mod off until you are a 100% sure.

that would be my fear that I could not get past---cutting into a perfectly good car on my own is probably not my best bet but at least I have a great body man that can do it for me.

thanks again guys..
