Adding hud to a 02
Looking to buy a 02 c5 it is the color and tranny I'm looking for but doesn't have HUD. How much? How hard? Was suprised when I looked at the dash there was not a generic removeable panel to install hud. So I'm to assume I will need a new dash

You won't need a new dash or the special windshield on an '02. When you pull the dash mat, you'll see it's pre-marked for the HUD cutout. The standard windshield will work with the HUD also so no need to swap that out (ggod thing too - it's expensive).

I will let you know after this weekend, I am getting ready to do mine. I got all of the parts for less than $300 and from the how-to, it shouldn't be that bad... famous last words! There is a great deal from forum member "connecticut" for $449 installed if you are near the northeast.

Thanks guys I'm trying to decide if I'm going to buy this one or keep digging. I'm pretty sure c5's came with adjustable suspension and wouldn't mind having that also. Three things it doesn't have is a glass top, HUD, and adjustable suspension. But the car is only a few miles away so got some thinking to do. The snow will be flying soon 
so its not like there is a huge hurry but it appears to be a solid car. Its at a dealership so it will probably be going to the auction soon.

I wouldn't worry - or even care - that it's missing F45 adj. sups. I have it and will probably eventually replace it with coilovers. It's not woth the extra money and doesn't make enough of a difference to hinge the purchase of the car on it. If it was F55 and I really wanted it, that might be a different story since that is a big improvement over F45.
As far as the glass top - buy one in the 4-sale section here or elsewhere.
