So the weather gets a little colder and my vette starts making a knocking sound. I do not know if it is the shocks or a piece of fiberglass or what. What should I do to find out the sound?
It makes noise when driving over small bumps not big ones, and with turning right or left. Thanks for the help, Mike
Yeah...this has been a problem for a lot of people, including me. If you'll do a search you'll find some quick fixes for that. The problem usually lies with the bushings and/or torque issues with the endlinks.
Personally, I don't pay attention to the creaks and groans anymore but it has driven some guys crazy and they've found ways to deal with it through specific lubricants and/or bushings made from different materials. Do a search for a member named (pizanno <-- I think) he did a great write up for that problem.
I think the sound is from the rubber bushings. I checked with Eckler's, but the poly bushings come in different sizes. I need to know what size I need for the Z06 sway bars front and rear. Either 23 or 26 or 30mm. Thanks, Mike
