From what I have heard, Air Box, Cam and no pup cats in exhaust.

Hopefully an expert will chime in here so I know what I have to do to my 03 to gain the extra 55 HP.

Here is the 2001 LS1 vs. 2001 LS6 Engine Comparison Scroll down and you'll see the modifications made on a LS6

Here are the differences between 2001 and 2002 LS6:

I am surprised it took so long to get the difference explained. Since 2001, the blocks have been the same. They use the same intake manifold as well. The major difference is heads and cam and picking up reworked LS6 (Zo6) heads has become an inexpensive mod for C5 owners. Combine the improved Z06 air intake system, exhaust (Titanium), decreased over all weight, improved racing oriented suspension, more powerful brakes, and you have the essence of the Z06.

On 02 and later, the intake manifold is the same, but the LS1 still has the restictive airbox and screened MAF.
