Well Ive decided to go by what it says in the computer and right now Im at 44 percent oil life left and im 1,000 miles over the standard 3,000 mile change. Its the first time ive ever ever done this with any vehicle ive owned. Just had to get that off my chest thanks

My SRX went 11K miles on Mobil 1 before the DIC said it was time to change the oil.
I just changed the oil on my "01 Vert (96K miles) at a 5K mile oil interval... it still showed 46% oil life...

Ouch you drive hard. My change only comes around once a year, put 8-9,000 miles a year and DIC has never been below 45.

Default Calm down...

RELAX...
Trust your DIC
Hell...30 years ago with inferior oil and worse engines...the suggested mileage between changes was like 10,000..
Just a money maker for the oil companies....

Just let your DIC tell you when to change oil. Why throw perfectly good oil away.

There hasn't been need for a "standard" 3000 mile oil change since the 1980s or earlier.

Wow, I thought every 4000 to 5000 was premature. When I change mine it's still relitively clear and I use "it" in a all my lawn and garden equipment.
