C5 LED Tail Lights
The parts arrive very fast from that aution site. The packaging was good and at first I thought that there was a scratch in one of the lights then I realized that each light was wrapped with plastic. removed the plastic and the lights were perfect.
Installation was relatively easy. Take the old ones out, remove the light bulb, clean the contacts, insert the LED light harness to the C5 harness. I am glad that I tested all the lights before putting it all back together. One of the lights worked with the brake, but not with the flashers. I pulled the harness and turned it over and it worked fine
. I also thought that with the turn signal on the LED blinked way too fast. I then read the instructions
that they need the car to be started to blink at normal speed. I guess they take a bit more power than the stock ones to run. Anyway I started the car and they were fine. One change I made to the car was removing the flush mounts. I liked the flush mounts with the stock lights, but I thought the LEDS looked better set inside the housing.
the results are great. Man they are bright compared to the stock ones. I assume people will be able to see me now.
I have the PIAAs coming in this week and I am on the fence with the HIDs, but I think the more light the better.
I will post tonight. I took some pics of the packaging too so people can see that they are just not thrown together and sent out.

any word when Nate will have them in???

Also it is good for safety, LEDs light faster and they are brighter.

I guess if the hood seal is considered a hp mod so should the LEDs
BTW - thanks for all the help with getting this light package together. Seeing your car was the deciding factor....
