Dumb question???

I have never had other than stock wheels on my 00 FRC and have decided to get a set of 18, 19 wheels. my question is.... I have new rear tires 275 x40x18 Pilots. Can I use them on the front and only have to purchase 2 new rear 315's??? or will I have to purchase 4 new tires. I know it must be a bumb question but before I go to the tire store in person I don't want to sound like I'm stupid. Be easy on me now I'll be 60 in a few weeks...

The 275s should be no problem. I'm running them in front on 10" CCW 505A's.

The only problem that I see with be the side wall height. 275/40/17 will work just fine but 275/40/18 will throw traction and ABS codes

I thought I'd get away easy with just 2 new tires ...I guess I'll just put if off for a while longer.

Bill,

Be careful with the 315's on the rear. Everyone that I know with 315's needed to change the offset on the rears to keep them from rubbing.

I have 305's and they just barely rub with STD offset
