The the stock battery in my 2003 annv. edition I think is dying( It only holds a charge for two weeks) What is out there that is a good replacment Gel, ACDelco, interstate?
I am on the 3rd battery in my 03. The first left me stranded with a leaking positive post, the second Delco replacement died 6 months later and I decided not to try again. I went with Optima this time, about 8 months ago and still awaiting long term success.
I went to Sears and bought their Gold series. Full replacement warranty for first five years. I figure that I will never have to buy another battery, because they seldom last five years in our cars.
There is a similar thread in the tech section btw.
My delco, which I assume was orginal, in the 01 just died dead with no warning what so ever. I replaced with an optima red top. I don't have the need for the yellow top which is more for those with extra stereo equip and the like. I got it from the local autozone, 3 year replacement and 7 total warranty. It is pricey though.
My original battery died, I replaced it with a Delco that did not start the car the following morning. I now have a Optima red top and have had no troubles. I really like this battery.

I've had very good luck with my Optima Red Top (five years and counting with no problems), but forum members report the Exide Orbital works very well too.
