How do you fix carb rash
I did a couple searches and didnt find what I was looking for.
I thought I saw a thread a long time ago, but I cant find it. I have some curb rash, and Im due for some tires, so Id like to try and fix it some. Im budgeting for new rims, so If it doesnt work, that's ok.

What part of the post did you miss where it says "Im budgeting for new rims, so If it doesnt work, that's ok."

what is the finish on your wheels?
if they are polished it's easily repairable unless there is too much metal missing
get rid of the roughness with sand paper...start from around 100 grit and finish off with 400 grit, then use some polishing cream

I fixed some rash on my polished aluminum wheels by using a 3M sandblaster. I got it at Lowe's. It is a 380 grit sponge that molds to the shape of the wheel. I then used it to sand the rash out followed by aluminum polish to remove the fine scratches left behind. It worked pretty well.
