We went to central Nebraska this weekend to visit in-laws. Coming home down I-29 I passed numerous vettes heading north, I assume from Eureka Springs. I would start to wave, then realize we were in the wife's car. It did make me wish I was driving my car.
To all you drving north, your cars were looking good.
I will tell you that I do the same thing. I love the car to much to ignore it, so I wave and point out every vette on the road....the wife thinks it is funny.
I wave at other vettes and When I drive my SSR I forget and salute vettes but get funny looks and then I realized - oops Im in the wrong car, tho the SSR has a 6 liter - 6 speed
People in Nebraska are just downright friendly. The last time I drove through that state on some of the rural roads just about everyone I passed would wave at me like I was their best friend. It was a nice experience. Those Nebraska farmers/ranchers are some really nice people. Just don't wear and OU jersey.

When we got married I did have to learn the wave when I went there, you raise your index finger off the steering wheel. I also had to learn to appreciate Husker sport, especially football. They are fanatical up there.
When I drive the Vette I'm always looking for others to wave at but rarely see any. Then when I'm not in the Vette I see a bunch. Are people avoiding being seen in the same car I'm in?
