Default Black outs

Has anyone installed black outs (dark pexiglass ones) on the front lights? My question is do you have to unbolt the whole light assembly or is there a trick to somehow slide the plexi pieces between the lights and the car? TXS Tom

They slide in but it takes a little convincing. I put masking tape all around the area to protect the paint then slide the back of them in first and "poped" the front part in. I did it very slowly because I did not want to crack them but I think they are pretty strong and will flex a good amount to get them in place.

Good luck!

i just slid mine in 5 minutes ago.

take the corresponding side and begin by forcing the thinner end in an up right manner. if you look, there is actually a lil gap at this top right corner of the driver's side front marker and rop left corner of the passenger side front marker.

when you get that in, follow along the top rim of the blackout piece and push it in following the gap that runs along the top of the marker. it is at this point in which you will reach the fatter side.

the fatter side can slide in by basically wedging it in. it will bend but the plexi is actually strong and will bend accordingly. smooth it under the lip with your fingers pressing firmly and you will hear a pop. then you will notice that it went it.

to secure the fit better, wedge the bottom down with your fingers in order to get the plexi to cover an even spread all along.

this should take you 2 minutes a side.
