Motor Update 2

so i pulled the motor with a buddy in 10hrs. Drove over to DRM, had them rebuild it to be mint! Now, in the process of getting it back in.
My buddy who has been helping me has been busy, so i can only work when he could. But last night, i took a brave stand and worked for 5 hrs myself. heres the latest! everything is on EXCEPT the radiator, condensor, trans cooler, and brake booster. so basically lil lines to run.
We had got a lot done on sat, but then i noticed two tranny cooler lines sittin on the floor. they needed to go under the engine, but above the subframe. i couldn't fish it thru, so guess what, had to drop the entire subframe to get it in there!!! i was
!!! but really, all it takes is unbolting the shocks towers, the control arms, the sway bars, then undo 6 nuts for the craddle, and she drops... not as bad as it sounds. Going to work on it tonight and do start up. wish me luck boys!!!

apparently, myself and a few others have motors built by MTI when they used bad quality rings. On top of that, the holes in the heads were b/c who ever ported it, did way too much on the intake side and drilled into some oil passage. Then, covered it with epoxy. the springs were too strong so it cracked the epoxy. i have only put 10K miles on this motor, but it has 12K total from previous owner. a NEW motor should not be like this, so im assuming it was a crap build from the beginning.
thanks again guys, will keep you updated!
