What's the best bang for the buck when it comes to spark plugs for the

And oh yeah.. safe for the engine... What do you all think?

no worries about changing at 15 or 20K. Iridum plugs are top notch and good for 100K

I'll be putting the NGK TR55s in mine when they need to be replaced. Had these plugs recommended by two different shops now.

I use TR55ix plugs. They are a bit spendy but what isn't for this car ($8/plug at NAPA)?

So the NGK TR55 plug will be a better plug lasting about 1/3 of the miles of the stock plugs, but how much better are they really??? Is there a measurable difference in performance or is this just another "every last tenth of a second" thing?

The Iridium's are the better choice. The problem with platinum is that it runs a little bit hotter than copper or iridium, so you've got a greater chance of detonation with platinum. You might end up getting one or two degrees more knock retard with platinum than with iridium or copper.
I've been using TR55 copper plugs in mine, at .050 gap, but am curious about the iridiums and might try them out on my next plug change. So far I've been changing the TR55 coppers out about every 6 months, which works out to about 8-10k typically. (that's probably a bit too soon, but I hate leaving plugs in too long for fear they'll get stuck)

Have any of you used the Bosch +4 plugs? I've had very good luck with them in other cars just curious how they work for the vette.

I have ran a few different plugs and fnd myself returning to the AC Delco setup. Good for the 100K and the tips don't back out (NGKs have screw on tips and I hate that).
NGK 55s are fine, but not my #1 choice.
