strange question on horn
I know I asked about my horn not working the other day but I have some new information and was wondering what was going on :o
My key fob was not working when I purchased the car and the lot we got it from ordered one for me from the dealer which came today..So we checked it out and now I have a working fob It just dawned on me that when my husband was showing me that the fob worked so did the horn
So now we go back out to the garage and he locks the car again with the fob and sure enough---the horn beeped So I had him check the panic button and sure enough---the horn beeped So now I am wondering why my horn does not work from the steering wheel My husband reaches in the car and hits the horn and sure enough---it beeps
So my question is---does the key fob have anything to do with this at all or is it just a fluke and I should have it looked at anyway??? How would the key fob make my horn malfunction??

Alright---this is becoming quite annoying
Last night the damn thing worked---this morning I decided to try it while I was on my way to work--the doesn't work but when I parked the car and locked it from the fob---the stikin horn beeped
I recently had the horn wiring in the steering column repaired. The keyless entry system & alarm activates the horn via a different path. The horn button itself or the steering column harness may have a problem. (FWIW, I have the beep option on my fob disabled. It's too annoying.)
