I have an LS-6 engine. I am torn between porting, polishing and shaving the stock heads, vs getting AFR 205s.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

I'm about to install the afr 205's. Along with LG's g5x3 cam. With this vehicle, no sense screwing around with shortcuts.

It all depends on what your goals are for the motor. If you're look for 450 +- you don't need to spend the $ on AFRs Approx. $2400. You can do Patroits that have #s very close to AFR's for 1/2 the price or have a good shop do yours for $800 - $1000

Shaving the heads? I take it that's all about compression ratio. How many thousandths would you remove, and what ratio would you end up with? Educate me.

What kind of power should you be making after this work is done?
