Sometimes the Key FOB doesn't unlock the drivers door. It sounds as if the actuator is working but doesn't unlock. Any experience with this problem or ideas as to what causes this?
this has been brought up before, I just don't recall the thread. It has something to do with the antenna laying above the rear fender well. Do a search, there should be a few threads talking about it.
There are relays inside the door panel inside the door module, one open one close, the relay has contacts which can pit or not function every time. (you still hear the relay coil pickup but the actual door latch does not move.
This could be (or more accurately probably is ) the issue....There are several threads on how to fix... from door module replace (expensive) to resolder in a new relay <10bucks but requires some work...need pics just pm me and I'll take some or send you the thread.....
Hope this helps Ian

IT could be a loose connection or a damaged wire or a bad ground or a bad relay or a bad board or a bad lock acutator.
Mine turned out to be a bad board...
Without a Tech 11 scanner finding the problem is a bit of trial and error.
