Ok, so now I'm having problems installing my Halo LED tail lights. (I am also having problems installing my 9005 PIAA bulbs )
The outer LED lights fit perfectly, it's the inner lights that I am having problems with. They do not fit into the slot perfectly (both sides). It looks as though the piece that holds the brake light wires is in the way. Yes, I am putting the tail light marked with an "L" on the left side. Heck, I even tried switching them and they would not go in.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I haven't read anything about anyone running into a similar problem. Perhaps this is not an OEM bumper?
It seems that the simplest of mods are giving me the most headaches.

is it upside down that would make the tail light wire be in the way - dont ask me how I know that
Same here on both inside lights. I had to remove the clip that holds the wires in place. Took a bit of a push to get it to seat flush, but all's well now. I know from working with our exhaust fascia overlay that no two rear fascias are identical. Even 2 new fascias won't be mounted the same on 2 different C5's. So some will fit perfect, and others will not. You might try some soapy water with a slight push to see if you can slide it in place.
Best of luck,
Richard

Interesting, thanks a lot.
Glad to know that others have seen this. I might just take a hacksaw to the little piece and saw it off.......it appears to only hold the wires up.
Ok, I switched them, and they seemed to fit correctly....with a little persuation. I am just wondering now if there is any downsides or reprecussions to putting the wrong one's on either side?
Yes, I was very careful to make sure I had it correct in the first place. So now I have an "L" on the outside left and an "R" on the inside left, vice versa on the other side.

It shouldn't make any difference at all. They're all wired the same and serve the same functions. Good for you, glad it worked out

I still might take a dremel to the little piece inside and switch the lights back to their proper side. Although they fit in the opposite side, it is not perfect.
Alright, alright ... here's mine Really not much to see ... until they're lighted ... then there is plenty to see. Our tests proved successful in blacking out the LED's. They're MUCH brighter than blacked out OEM's ... And nearly as bright as standard bulbs in the stock red OEM housing. We'll soon be offering the brightest black outs available. They are awesome Unfortunately it's very hard to have the comparisons show effectively in the photos.

Whoa, sweet pics! Those blackouts sure look nice on that Silver Z.
It bothered me SOOOO much that I had the tail lights on the wrong side, that I decided to just go down and saw off those pieces. After some apologizing to the car that I cut her, the tails went into their respective slots on the correct side with no problemos.
Sorry about the pics, I will get some up in the near future.
I had to cut the tabs on mine for the inside ones to fit...I just cut enough where that black pin that holds the wiring harness still has a hole to go into, others have done the same
