Sorry to hear 'bout that. I know you'll never forget your first...vette. But, there are plenty of other honeys out there waiting for ya! Get back out there and get ya one! And don't forget that mods will make it all feel better!
The most important thing is you walked away unharmed. Like a lot of us said there are plenty more vettes out there but only one of you. Good luck picking out the next one.
Very sad to here that happened! A couple of months ago I flipped my C4 when it ran off the road up the hill and rolled on the top and smashed all with me in it as well! All I have to say is that time certainly has helped and I also now own a C5 that a member sold me(Great deal by the way) that also has helped but it is still with me even now! Glad your alright and the Vette is just a piece of machinery when all is said and done. I sold my C4 complete to another forum member and he is putting it back together! I did this instead of parting it out!
Let us know what you replace it with! Your life is always worth more than the car!
It will take time but you'll get over this. Be glad you're not hurt and you can find another car.
I got hit by a tourist in my coupe and had $7k worth of damage. But I ended up in the only set of bushes in a downtown area so I was lucky. I called the guy every name in the book but it's fixed now.
Yep, I am glad I am ok, was not too stressed about the whole deal. Just sad to see my Vette get mangled:/ I am sure I will enjoy my next vehicle what ever it may be (hopefully another Vette).
This occured on Stevens Creek just past the Winchester intersection, right infront of the Subaru dealership. Their nice light post helped me stop and kept me from hitting a nice used 740 that was parked just to the right of that light. The guy decided to make a right hand turn in front of me from the middle lane... with me being pretty much at the read end of his car when he decided this swell move. Had about half a second of breaking when I saw him turn his head, instinct told me the buttheaded move he was about to pull, but there was just no way to avoid the accident. He was a bit more stressed out to say the least as he had no insurance. Just glad no pedestrians were walking about there, that would have really messed with me if I had hit a person instead of just the nice light post.
Yes, "long" time member here, but mainly just enjoy reading other folks posts then posting myself Sorta like my Vette, had real low mileage
Very sorry to hear of the news, but that is absolutely why you (and we) all diligently pay our insurance companies too. Here's to hoping that they take great care of you in your time of need, and that you end up with another nice Corvette ASAP!
He was a bit more stressed out to say the least as he had no insurance.
I hope they arrested the SOB -- it really pizzes me off whenever I read about losers that are stupid and arrogant enough to drive without insurance! SCUM!!!
