Mine's been doing that lately too. I turned my passive slider off and pressed the lock and unlock buttons until the horn honked.. about 10 seconds. Seems to be working now. I would retrain the fob if that hadn't worked. The "Unit" you are speaking of, to my knowledge, doesn't have a battery to be replaced in it. May have to replace the unit.
Thanks Myk7,
My alarm doesn't have the passive slider option, and I've tried "retraining" both fobs.
I'll have a look for the "unit" tomorrow in the daylight. (I only see the 'vet in the daylight at weekend now the days are so short!)
I'll see how I get on.
Thanks again
Steve
I had the same problem and I did the following: stand by the car, hold the number 1 fob, push both lock and unlock at the same time for several seconds untill the lights flash or horn beeps. it should then work. do the same for the 2nd fob. some times they will loose their sequence or they loose the ability to communicate with the car. if your batteries are weak this could be why. It worked for me. Good luck. Hope it helps it would suck if you had to replace the fobs cause dealer charges like $150 each.
