Default Front Fascia Damage

I'm having a real run of bad luck lately. Someone backed into the rear of my car two weeks ago. Had it sanded and repainted and it looks great. Today a run-in with some road debris put a crack in my front fascia between the fog light opening and the license plate. I'm inclined to just get a new front fascia rather than repair it. How difficult is it to replace the fascia or is this something I should just leave to the experts? Not sure if I'm going to go with the stock piece or aftermarket. Any pics of aftermarket front fascias (especially in black) would be greatly appreciated.

The front fascia is not difficult to remove. Just a matter of taking the screws loose and then pulling the fascia off. Here's how Patches described the process in a post from a while back:

There's lots of screws and a few nuts. Take your time and work your way around. Start underneath and pull off the air dams and access covers and the four nuts inside on studs that hold it to the top/side of the bumper cover to the fenders (you have to reach your arm inside for these - use a light to see them).

I know the price is higher, but this would be a great time to consider getting a Tiger Shark front end.

Have a body shop look at it. I had the fascia on my 97 pretty badly torn at the spot where the turn signal light is located. The body shop was able to patch it and repaint the one side to keep the total cost about the same as my $500 insurance deductible would have been.

If Dirteedave doesn't want the bumper cover I would be interested in it.

Its all yours. I haven't decided what I'm going to do yet but if I stay stock I'll pick up a new one.

Dave,
Sorry to hear of your bad luck

I don't know why you wouldn't take americanhp up on his offer though, unless you have some kind of "used parts phobia" or something j/k

If,for whatever your reasons are,you decide to go new anyways,,,you should just go ahead and step up to the tiger shark.I will likely not cost you all that much more.....

IMHO ofcourse

Here is a picture of chris's car in black with the ts front end....very nice!!!
