I have had three different recall procedures performed regarding the column lock, with the last one involving removing the locking plate. Since buying the car new, I never got the "Pull Key - Wait 10 Seconds" warning, nor has the steering wheel ever locked before unexpectedly. Obviously, with the locking plate removed, I won't have to worry about this ever happening in the future. However, in addition the recent "Pull Key" warning, the car started and then immediately stalled twice until I pulled the key and waited 10 seconds. Of course the car ran just long enough for me to back it out of the parking space and then get stuck in the middle of the parking lot lane. This has only happened once despite driving the car several times since then. Is this a one time occurance, or is this something I have to address with the dealer?
In addition to locking the column, the car will inhibit "theft" by shutting off fuel flow to the engine after a certain speed or distance is reached. A column lock bypass is a very popular fix to these atrocious engineering blunders. Look into one, my friend.

Your problem is you let the dealer perform the recalls on your car. Part of the recall is programming the fuel to cut off if it detects a problem with the column lock. Some of the recalls used faulty k harnesses which have been known to cause problems. If you had just installed the CLB without having any of the recalls done you would be better off.
However part of the theft deterrent system also cuts the fuel off. Try using your spare key or clean the pellet on your key.
