Trashed Rooftop Tint .. any ideas?
Hey all,
I purchased my car a little while ago, anyhow.. when I looked at the car I was well aware of the tint being faded/rubbed off of the top (targa ? ) window.
anyhow, I went in yesterday to a TINT place to have it replaced... only to have them say that they didnt recommend tinting the TOP, they usually tint the inside. Which I knew, but I figured they would have some special tint for the outside. NO go.
So now I am looking for ideas, I dont wanna shell out the cash for a WHOLE NEW top... just for tint gone bad.
any ideas? I cant believe my car would be the only one with this issue.
Here are some Images to show what I am talking about.. at FIRST glance it looks like GLARE.. but no.. its the Tint wore off.

Watch the C-5 parts for sale. Sometimes you can get a good used one for under 500. I picked up one for 450 but had to drive 4 hours round trip to get it. The one I picked up was never even on the car.

insurance glass claim. I did this with mine, i have full glass and 0 deductible. Cost me nothing. The only problem I had was it took 2 weeks because I choose to send it out to a company across the country they recommended. Probably should have gone with the stealership.
