Default Installing Shift Boot

For those of you that have installed aftermarket shift boots on an A4, what type/brand of glue did you use to secure the leather inside the plastic surround ?

Default shift boot install

Vette Essentials has a nice set of step by step instruction. I did not see any mention of glue though.

Vette essentials sends it with the boot already attached to that piece.
I'd use 3m spray adhesive(Lowes etc. ) and spread it with my finger if I were doing what you need done.........

Thanks guys. I went with the Redline product due mostly to getting them from a forumn member at a very nice price. If I can do it cheaper, and get good results, thats the route I will go (unless were talking a safety issue, then it's a no holds barred situatuion).

After researching and applying some common sense, I bought some epoxy and it is working like a champ. It's not a fast process. Mix a little, apply, let set, repeat ... Almost complete...

I used PermaOXY branded by Permatex. Bought it at a local autoparts store...

Finished pics... I think it turned out nice...
