Default Column Lock Bypass

Has anyone installed one of these and had it cause problems? I would appreciate your responses.

If you don't have any recalls, do it immediately.

Read the FAQ at the top of the C5 General page too.

I recently installed mine with no problems. I had one of the recalls done prior (not the one involving the K-Harness or whatever it's called). Have it done before it's too late.

I skipped all the recalls and installed the bypass. The only problem I encountered was blowing the fuse somehow during the install. I must have grounded something, but it was pretty easy. It was harder to access the wiring for me than it looks. I was unable to get the knee bolster off as the instructions indicated and had to take out the console and the center dash trim. Neither is difficult and the whole process even with the extra disassembly took an hour or so.

Mine has been on the car for a little over two years and not a single problem.
