It is almost winter here in PA and I just bought my 2001 coupe.
PLEASE give me some suggestions as to what to do for 5 months since I can't drive till at least late March!!
Ah, the joys of living in Florida. Year around driving. I feel for you as I lived in Chicago and understand the winters and the salt on the roads.
Herte is hoping you have mild winter and can enjoy your C5.
the way I look at it, you bought a vette to drive it around and people lookin at you, well theres no need to put the car away for 5 months, my car is a daily driver and for sure the winter and rain aint gonna keep me away for driving my dream car, I'm not paying 480 a month to have it in my house just for looks
Why put it away? I will agree that you don't want to take it out when the roads are sloppy, but there are days that I still get out in the winter - it's as much fun as driving in the summer. Just look for dry days (the colder it gets, the drier the roads are), and pick the less traveled roads so you don't get sand thrown at you.

Drive it on those cold dry days! That's what I did when living in the North 28 years ago

I'm in monroeville pa and i know how you feel i put the car away until inspection in April for me.I don't think their is any cure for not being able to drive the car for 5 or six months.Just put some sta-bil in your tank hook up a battery tender-plus and cover her up.Unless over the winter months you can add some mods to her if you want that might help you out alittle.
