Default Ricer or not?

Z06 rear brake ducts, on a non-Z06, FRC coupe?

I used to scoff at ppl who put Z06 ducts on their non Z06, but now I am thinking they might look good on my car. In the end I know its my car and do what I want, but I want some opinions.

Thanks
Patrick

As long as they are the FUNCTIONAL ones!!! The people that put the rear ducts on with the 3M kit should be flogged in public.

I like the look, and they're functional....eh, why not? Maybe go with an aftermarket duct instead. Someone posted some great pictures of theirs and they looked better than OEM.

Yea, well I do want to go functional, but I was going to get the stick on ones to see if I liked the look since they are only about 60 bucks. I havent ever seen any on a Nassau FRC. Then I can turn around and sell the stick on ones.

Don't waste your time, or money, with the stick-ons. They don't look anything like the real things. I would try to look around the forum for some pics of a car like yours with them, or better, maybe someone in the area so you can see them in person.

On your color car I think they'd look good ONLY if you have a lot of other aggressive type mods... maybe some blacked out trim, Z06 wheels, lowered, etc. If you still have chrome wheels and the rest of the theme is "classy", the ducts would seem to detract from the beauty of the car.

I dont have alot of stuff now, but I am getting some 505a's, euro tail lights, balcking out the reverse lights, and the new lower facia blackout.

So I am thinking they will look good. wish I could find some pics of a nassau FRC with them tho.

i have the functional z06 ducts on my 98' its silver ( targa not frc ) ... and i think what makes the ducts look great is the fact that it has the z06 mesh in the front air duct.. and z06 wheels, and everything is oem... so instead of cheesy it looks like it belongs there and looks very hott!! i think the last thing yo uwanna do is add something that stands out too much and looks aftermarket on such a beautiful body and color... just my opinion though

If you really, really, really want good-lookin' ducts, do what Evil-Twin did. This is what the Vette designers should have done in the first place, instead of making them look like an after-thought.

Eh, not a fan of those. I like the form follows function look of the Z06 ducts, they look like they mean business.

I would take the 60 bucks, buy a good bottle of Scotch and forget about it. Nah just kidding, stick 'em on there. On second thought I'm not kidding I like good Scotch better than brake ducts.

Friend of mine put the stick on ones on his white vert. They are what I'd call a fifty footer accessoriy. If you are fifty feet away, they Might look like the real thing. But anything closer and it is obviously an afterthought.

I've got them on my Electron Blue coupe but I ordered the functional kit from WCC (even comes with the Z06 inner fender liners so you don't have to cut up yours). People look at mine and think that it is a Z06 until they realize that Z06 didn't come with a hatchback.

I like the look of it but only if you go with the real functional ones.
