I had a clear bra installed on my new 07 machine sliver coupe. When viewing the car in direct sunlight with my sun glasses on I noticed several areas under the plastic material on the front bumper that looked alarmingly dark and streaky, when I removed the glasses these streaks and spots were not visable at all. I called the installer who in turn called the manufacturer of the material (Avery), and they told him that this is quite normal because the sun glasses I had on must have been the polarized type of lense which causes some kind of UV distortion. Apparently this tends to be more noticable on silver or pewter colors because they tend to be somewhat blotchy anyway. Additionally he called his other supplier from the 3M company and they confirmed the same reason. ----- I have tried other non polorized sun glasses and it looks fine. --- Has anyone ever experienced or noticed this in their C5.

Yep, sure have. I have had the Clear Bra on my C-5 for 3 years and I can not say enough good things about it. The Polorized sun glasses do make the film look funny. Mine is Tourch Red and it looks blotchy with them on.
I'm curious as I have seen posts about the clear bra. Is it like a sheet of clear tape that adheres to the finish? Can you remove it once it is on and how easy?
BTW, my cousin had on polarized lens and was commenting on how electric my color looked. When he let me look through his sun glasses I was amazed at the difference as how vibrant the color looked.
