Extended Warranties
Howdy all,
I am looking for any information on extended warranties.
I had a '98 and bought a extended warranty from a dealer here on the boards, back in 2000 (I believe his name was Ken). Is this person still around and offering extended warranties through his dealership? Also, my warranty on my '03 has expired, can I still buy an extended warranty, even though my initial warranty has lapsed?

Try Dennis Fichtner or Ken Fichtner at Fichtner Chevy. That dealership is probably the one you got your current warranty from.

You need to send Dennis an email: with your vin and mileage. He will tell you if it is eligible for GMPP.

If it is out of factory warranty or extended GMPP is expired, it will not be eligible. I just found this out inquiring about the exact same thing which the above is what he said. So I am looking at Warranty Direct because they seem to be the only one's offering a wear and tear policy. Mine was an '01 with only 14k.

I may be wrong, but, don't think you can still buy the GMPP for either of your Corvettes. Check w/ Fichtner for specific details.
You might check out Warranty Direct. I think they can help you on the newer car, not sure about the '98. Good luck.
