For about two weeks, when I first start driving my C5, my tire pressure indicator gauge states I have low tire pressure. I know for a fact that is not the case. Outside air temp is not a factor. So I do the reset deal and all is cool till I start and go agin. Today is the first time I have had a little time to research the problem on the forum. Can anyone enlighten me whereas this is a easy fix or a dealer repair. B][/B]
so what is your cold tire pressure as measured by an external guage? There is no method I know of to recalibrate the pressure sensors in terms of what they read for PSI. They have been known to be somewhat inaccurate but are usually consistant.

Don't know how old your car is, but it could very well be that the sensors are acting up. The life of a sensor is usually anywhere from 5-8 years or so.
Just checked my owners manual and I didn't see a reference for location of a battery for such sensor or it's location. Where do I get access to the sensor and the battery. tks

the sensor is mounted inside the wheel. The only part of it you can get at is the valve stem. The battery is inside each sensor.
Here's a pic of one style -
PS - the batteries are not designed to be user replaceable...
No my actual pressure is 29 pounds , it just regesters that low on my gauges, inaddition the temp outside is has been 75 deg. and it states this temp after tires are warm. I have to replace my batterys best I can tell. Thanks for everyones input.
