Default Car Covers- outside

Has anyone experienced using the 2 tone car covers with Red on top and black on the sides? Does the color tend to bake/fade into the paint? I'm buying a 2007 black coupe and need your feedback before moving forward. Is there a cover that protects against door dings/ rain/ sun (Orlando) fade and holds up for several years?

I've purchased about 8 car covers from CALIFORNIA CAR COVER COMPANY in the past 10 years or so. I recall reading on their website that they don't recommend dark colored covers on light colored cars. You'd have to research that. With a black car, you probably wouldn't have any issues, but it's best to confirm that with the manufacturer that you decide to buy from.
I just purchased a "Superweave" (a state-of-the-art fabric that utilizes Nextec® encapsulation) cover from CALIFORNIA CAR COVER COMPANY in dark blue for my LeMans Blue '04 Z16. I've always used something a little thicker for "ding" protection, but I really only need dust protection. The cover is very lightweight, folds easily and small enough to fit into the rear side cubby hole. It's for indoor/outdoor use, offering dust and rain protection. It comes in various colors and combinations of colors. What I like the most about it is that it's their only cover that can be cleaned in a residential size washer and dryer. The cleaning process actually improves it's quality to dispel dust. The warranty is also much better than most of their other covers.

I've had a Noah for 4 yrs used outdoors 24/7. After about a yr. dust would leach through to the paint when it rained. Have you experienced this with the Superweave? I don't mind spending the extra $$ for it if I won't have this issue.

I got a Stormsheild 2 tone red and black car cover from previous owner of my Vette for an extra $100.00. I bought the car 2/05 and the cover looked like new and would keep a lot of the water off the car. Now the car cover looks Pink and Grey, and keeps only some of the water off. I was actually going to e-mail Coverking and see what they have to say. It seems pretty thin also. I have always liked the Noah material and if you are looking for a little extra protection from a possible door ding I would say the Noah or Evolution 4 material is definitely a better cover.
