I lowerd my c5 a month ago.......i lowerd the stock bolts....and cut off 2/3s the bushshing......now my car squeaks alot at slow speeds ( accel. and going over speed bump and drive ways) ive sprayed wd40---lithium grease.....and a few others under there......but it seems to only work for a few days or weeks.....then wen i wash it or it rains its starts acting up......i dont wanna raise it up i like it that low.....any help?????
I had the same problem but I put the longer bolts in the rear and have the polyurethane bushings. The squeaks seem to have come from the rear. I sprayed some white lithum grease on the rear bushings and it seem to work so far. I lubed them up pretty good too. You may have to do this a couple times to get the grease seated good enough.
thanx......mines comeing from the front....i geuss ill check them tomarrow.....im putting my new wheels and tires on .....they 18-19 so i might have to raise it up a lil ne way
I do not have any bushings in the front. That may be why it is not squeaking up there. I put CCW 19" all the way around. Nothing like pulling up somewhere, in a nice corvette, and having this awful and embarrassing squeaks coming from under the car. Good Luck!

Where "under there" are you spraying? Have you determined exactly where the squeaks are eminating from?
A lot of times squeaks coming from the front of the car are from the sway bar bushings. Evil-Twin had a write up (can't find it atm) that went through the procedure of removing the bushings, cleaning off (sanding?) the area where the bushings make contact with the sway bar, spray painting that area, and then lubing the bushing contact area when re-installing the bushings.
ive been spraying the bolt where the bushings are......when i orig. cut the 2/3 of it i grinded down the the sides to make sure it was smooth ....it almost sounds like metal touching metal.....i have a prof. mech. doing the mods.....he thinks we should just ad a rubber washer on top and grease the hell out of it im still not sure wat to do.....?

Man i can't stand people that type like that. Or use Do' as though.
First off, ditch the WD-40 and lithium lube CRAP. WD-40 is "Water Dispersant, recipe #40" That's not going to help you at all. you have a friction sqeak.
Try using "Graphite" or Moly lube, and as recommended check the bushings to make sure they didn't rub through.
