what's up with kids?
Every kid in the neighbor hood wants to race me every time I'm out for a cruise with my Vette? It's so bad I don't even want to cruise around anymore.I'm noy a kid I'm 51 and not looking to race on every street I drive down. Sorry about the ran just needed to vent.

happens withme also and everyone rips around to show me how fast whatever they are driving will go or stop as close to my bumper as possible I ignore them go figure

Every since the movie "Fast and Furious" it's been like that. That #$&*# movie started everyone to thinking it was "cool" to race anywhere, anytime.

Had some younger people try me today at a red lite.
They were in a rather new four door Caddy, i took off easy, then gave them a little blast of my v8! See ya caddy.

The other day I was next to a raised 4x4 with two guys in it. No one else on the road. They saw me, floored it to the stop sign, slowed down a bit, floored it again and disappeared off into the distance. I just kept driving normally, watching the show. Whatever....

Yesterday, rush hour in town, four lane, short blocks between stop lights, a kid in a black Mustang kept pulling up beside me, revving the engine and lurching forward. Then he'd pull in my lane and slow down, then back in his and rev again. I pretended I didn't notice and when I pulled into the left turn lane, he pulled up beside me stopped and then took off. It was not one of the new body style Mustangs, and had Cobra in large silver letters across the rear bumper. There was a small chrome emblem on the rear that said "SVT". I have had 8 Corvettes starting in the 60's, but haven't kept up with Mustangs. Is this supposed to be a hot car, or just a wannabe? Had huge tips on the exhaust, sounded ok, a little high pitched maybe. Anybody know about this type Mustang?

Me, I get a kick out of the revs and BS and smile to know that my vette attracts so much attention and approval.
It is part of owning a sportscar, everyone wants a piece, but I do agree "FAST AND THE FURIOUS" did seem to heighten the level
of "butt"holes out there in their turbocharged imports.
What I have been thinking about is buying a nitrous bottle (again), installing it and only a purge setup and when it happens purge it.
