Door locks will not work any ideas why? Checked all of the fuses and they are fine, checked the door lock programming and it’s set to ON, used the remote and the door lock button in the car and nothing. I can lock them manually and open with the remote.
Sounds like your actuators (the unit that locks and unlocks each door) are toast. Just had to have my driver's side one replaced two weeks ago. These have a history for not lasting too long on the C5s...
Mine is doing that on the driver's side. The dealer said is was the door lock. I installed it myself only to find it was not the problem. Needless to say it will not go back to the dealer. My guess is that it is the DCM in the door. It has several relays on it for the higher power soleniods in the lock itself. The contacts get corroded and it no longer works. The is a thread on how to open the relays up and clean them and also a thread for a cheap relay replacement. I took the easy route and purchsed a new DCM from Fred Bean's, about $135.00.
Here is the link with pictures and "how to". http://www.ronjpics.com/Corvettestuff.htm
If your handy with a soldering iron, the relays are easy to replace and it can save you a bundle. I replaced the relays for the window and now I need to go in again and replace the door lock relays. You can get the relays from Digi-Key, part number 255-1239-NO. Good luck...
