Really stupid question
Is the oil dipstick on a c5 flat all the way or does it twist?...

Phew. I just got a really bad feeling when I pulled that out after having seen similar looking dipsticks come out of engines that can no longer run on their own.

The twists are designed in to keep the dip stick in the center of the tube to help keep from wiping the oil and giving a false reading...
