Default headers

I am putting headers, cats and X pipe on my 2000 6 spd. I presently have B&b PRT mufflers. What manufacturer makes the best system? How much H.P. can I expect?

Thanks for your help.

The best system is disputable. Especially on this board.

Several manufacturers make good headers for the C5...

DynoMax
American Racing
LGM
Kooks

All of these manufacturers make headers that make HP in the same ballpark. Can you get 3 or 5 more HP out of one of them over the rest? Perhaps. Is it worth the money? That depends on the purchaser. I have heard that some are easier to install than others - LGM being the easiest from what I have heard.

I personally have the LGM Pro's and absolutely love them. Do some research on this board. Search is your friend.

Good luck.

IMO, LG makes the best in terms of HP gains, but they are also fairly expensive. I like the DynaTech Supermaxx system myself - reasonably priced and still decent power gains. Power claims are all over the place with the headers - hard to say what might be realized in your car.

I have Kooks on my '99 with B&B PRT's and it sounds amazing. I'm making 335 rwhp and 346 rwtq.

LG's are great, but I went Dynatech also (price). Install was not too bad, and they are GREAT!!! Get them. Get them now. What are you waiting for???
