Do I "need" and x-pipe

just curious. Do i need one or could i run the headers all the way straight back to my corsa's? I'm about to do a header install and I really don't feel like speding 225 and wait for the xpipe to arrive and all that stuff and still have to hack up pipes. I want to get some pipes from local exhaust place made from the headers all the way back. I have searched and the x-pipe really doesn't seem to add much more than like 3 hp. I don't care about that. If I can't deal with it then I could just get an x-pipe later and fit it in. Im definatly going catless so thats not an issue.

It will sound better with an X pipe than 2 straight pipes.

I put in the x pipe abt three weeks after installing the Corsa, it just KILLED the sound of them, FORGET the x pipe

You could put the cross over pipe in to equalize the pressure.

I was thinking about installing an x-pipe to equalize the pressure, but then i decided if it pops a little bit and gurgles that it's fine by me, If it's annoying or seems like the cars performance is hurt, then I'll bolt and x-pipe in place. I just see it as a huge waste of money. 225 for a piece of pipe!!!

Don't do it. Just bought one for my Borla exhaust and it killed my sound also.

Are you going to have any type of pipe in there to equalize the pressure? Your car will run better (and stronger) if you do...doesn't have to be an X-pipe, those are just the best for flow.
