Hi everyone, I finally mastered how to start the car without rocking the car. I have a question tho about switching gears.. I am getting a forceful rock back when I switch gears. Probably not switching right. Can someone help me and tell me what might be the problem. If I can eliminate this rocking when I shift, I'll be a pro in manual tranny. :D
your probably letting off the gas before u depress the clutch or the happy medium in between?
Chan
That's probably it, but the alternative is your running it up fairly high in a given gear, then letting the clutch up quickly with no( or not smooth throttle). Don't do that It's really just a matter of practice. Shifting at lower speeds with gentle throttle pressure should give you smooth shifts. Then expand from there.
The throttle release should be at the same time as you press the clutch, not before, and not too much after, either, as you won't impress the girls that way
