Another CL bites the dust!

CLB is the ONLY way to remedy the column lock issue!
Sorry to hear about your misfortune, get that car back, and get a CLB in ASAP!
ANYONE out there who owns a C5, 1997-2004, stick or auto, recalls performed or not, should have a CLB installed in their car by now. If you didn't do any recalls yet, great, because its a waste of your time going to the dealer. GM dropped the ball on this and their "recalls" don't do jack for your car, or you. I'm still amazed how GM never came up with a CLB type fix in the first place, and their 2 or 3 recalls on this issue just don't work.
If you had the recalls done, get the CLB anyway
I used to believe in GM, I had the two recalls done, and 2 weeks ago I got the dreaded "Pull Key, Wait 10 Sec" warning. Luckily, I just got home. The next move I made was ordering a CLB! Get it and move on with your life.
I hate to say this, but anyone who knows about the CLB, and didn't put it in their car yet, almost deserves to get stuck becuase of their ignorance, stupidity, laziness , or a combination thereof!

1997-2000 A4's
Install wire kit (Harness K), remove and discard lock plate, install the "cam orientation plate" where the lock plate previously resided. No PCM flash required.
2001-2004 A4's
No Change Required - they didn't install the Electric Column Lock (ECL) on those years, in the U.S., after experiencing so many problems.
