Has the engine been installed yet? If so, tell us about it.

Yes if you check page 1 engine went in last tuesday Oct 31. Car is running great!! Had to go back on thursday for them to top off trans. fluid. it had shifted a little strange a few times. They topped it off and now it's like a new 04 with a 5 year / 100K warranty on the engine.

I took 10 pizzas to the service dept as a way of saying thanks. Yea it was under warranty but it doesn't hurt to show a little thanks now and then.

So far got about 200 miles on it and it seems stronger than old engine.
Still wish I knew what the heck made it eat it'self.

Went to all that trouble for an LS1? Why not put the LS6 in?

LS6

Let's see LS1 $8705.15 cost to me $30. Still have Gmpp warranty and now 5 year/100k on new engine.

LS6 $14,000 + cost to me (No way). No GMPP on drive train for sure.
Dealer couldn't have done it anyway.

Now if all this had been out of my pocket. It would be a different ball game.

So I'll stay stock for now. Still got more power than I ever need.
