C4- 87 4+3 coupe with ZZ4, suspension mods, race brakes, RD Camber Brace and harness. My autocross/track day car
C5- 02 EB 6-speed coupe, vortec supercharger, Baer big brakes, and more.
It seems that the older I get, the latest Vette I wind up buying has waaay more power than the previous cars. These two represent #5 and 6 in a string that goes back to when I was 24 and bought my first Vette, a '70 LS5 coupe (390HP 454), 4-speed and no power steering. Never been without a Vette, I just keep them longer.
My era of "growing up" was the mid-year cars. I have driven a number of mid-year cars in both big and small block versions and while they are fun to drive, I'm not sure if I could handle a long trip like across the country in one. I had driven my 92 on the 50th Anniverary Caravan from Portland OR to BG and back through Vegas and even that took a couple of days to get "comfortable". Guess it's all in what you want out of a car.
