It's interesting to see all the damage inside the door, when from the outside, it doesn't look all that bad.
Here's the question though... How does a guy get insurance WITHOUT a driver's license?? And without the license, how do you even know who he is or where to find him again?
Good luck on getting it all sorted. What a drag.

the guy fled after he hit me, so I drove after him like a bat out of hell. Funny he thought he could lose a zo6 in his chevy 1500 I then called the PD and they came and arrested him. He didnt own the truck, but the owners showed up and the cops got their info and insurence info. I called the insurence companys today and got things started. I just dont know what shop to take it to. I dont trust body shops everyone of them are shady and crooked.

Way to go on catching the guy and getting the PD on his butt. VERY good action on your part.

It is possible that the vehicle has insurance and he was driving it.
Another question is was he driving it with or without the owner's premission. Yes, I went through this scenario.

I hope that everything works out, but allow me to throw a monkey wrench into this . . .
Typically, insurance companies regardless of the state will not pay outon the claim if a crime was committed. I have seen all too many times the victim get penalized because the other guy had no driver license. Youmight get lucky some how seeing as the vehicle belonged to someone else that was insured, however, don't be surprised if they call and say "Sorry, we found out that the guy driving did not have a driver license and insurance does not cover a crime".
Good Luck!

I was hit years ago and the owners came out and tried to make nice after their drunk buddy with no driver license hit me and the wife. Later I got a call from their insurance company telling me that they had to deny the claim since a crime had been committed. I then went after the owner that was out there that night, only to find out that he signed a paper telling his insurance company that they had not allowed the person to drive the vehicle (a move my attorney told me was common to cover their butts and something that I see in my line of work all the time). In the end, I ate the entire thing, had to sue the other guy who claimed that he was a "victim" too, and had to sue the actual driver also. The attorney was the winner and I got pennies on the dollar.
If you can get the car fixed QUICK you are way ahead of the game. Glad you are not hurt
