Default Driver's Side Window

Got in the vette this morning for work, everything started up and ran fine. Parked her at work, and discovered the power window on the driver's side won't go up or down. Fortunately, it's stuck in the full-up position. Passenger's side window works fine from controls on driver's side. Any suggestions guys? Thanks.

Same thing happened to mine but the window was down. On the drive home the DIC started running all kinds of codes that resulted in several sytem shut downs and the "Reduced Power" mode. I got the sytem error code list from a Forum search and ran the DIC diagnostic. Everything led to the driver side door control module. It was not sending a signal so I removed the door panel. I checked all the connections at the module and heard one "click" into place. Quick code reset...problem solved! One loose connection caused it all. You'll probably get suggestions to "jiggle" the door access accordion cover but if that does work...it is most likely a band aid...not the cure. If you are a "do it yourselfer" run the DIC sequence and check all connections before replacing anything. Believe me...if you want to take the time... this method will teach a lot about how your electrical sytem works.

Good luck and let us know what happens.

Both of my windows quit working. First the passenger side then the driver side about 5 months later. In both cases the regulator had to be replaced.

What is Quick Code? It has shown up on my DIC Several times, it also allows you to enter numbers, what does this mean and what is it for?

Thanks.

I have problems with my pass window every couple months. Try slamming your door a few times while pressing the window down button. Seems to work for me.

my passenger side PW and PDL will have bouts of only working when the door is open, most likely a wire that is breaking apart at the hinge point of the door.

Trust me on this and just give it a try. Turn on the key, hold the window down switch with one finger, take your other hand and rap the door panel firmly (or open and shut door while holding). It may eventually break loose and work for a long time. Doesn't cost anything to try this and it has worked for many.
