Default C6 wheels on a C5

I have a C5 2000 coupe, with the stock wheels (17s in front 18s in rear). What do I have to change to install a set of c6 wheels as follows? P245/40ZR18 for the fronts and P285/35ZR19 for the rears.

Offset
Tire Clearance
reprogramming
etc

Default Corvettes of Houston

I purchased the Motorsport version (rivets) from Corvettes of Houston in stock size and did not use spacers or anything. Just straight bolt on.

Cool, I live in Gaithersburg also, and thinking of getting the same wheels as you.

Know of a good wheel shop around there? and body shop?

I just moved to the area

Thanks.

FYI...I don't know if the pics are aftermarket c6 style wheels with the c5 offset, but the factory c6 wheels are a pretty tight fit (on the rear) with little or no clearance from the inner fender. I put my c6 wheels on a few months ago. I did install 1" adapters to the rear spindles to give me a "comfortable" clearance. The front wheels fit with no problems. The adapters moved the wheel out to be nearly flush with the fender....giving it a nice look..

Nice look omarcoolguy. Have you pulled them yet to see if there is any rubbing? thanks

I have a 2000 verte and just changed out my magnesium wheels for a set of chrome C6 wheels. I got them from AFS Wheels out of S. California. They are the same size as the stock wheels (ie 17 X 8.5--front, and 18 X 9.5--rear) with the factory offsets. The price was $745.00 with free shipping. My local Chevrolet dealer installed them with the pressure sensors for $75.00. They look terrific. Best thing I ever did to my verte.

I have 2003 coupe that I put stock C-6 wheels with BF-Goodrich tires.(Front) 245/40ZR 18 (Rear) 285/35ZR 19. I then put a ¼ inch spacer to correct the offset on the front and a ¾ inch adapter to correct the rear. I think that they look really great now, they set real close to the out side of the finder wells now. but with out the adapters on the rear they were real close to the inside of the finder wells. I thought that they might rub on the inside when cornering at higher speeds.
